Base maintenance checks for Vladivostok Avia starts anew
The Airbus fleet of Russia’s Vladivostok Avia is frequenting Philippine skies this year and will continue until 2011. The frequent visits are part of the current campaign for the airline which involves C-checks and IL-checks that Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) is performing for Vladivostok Avia’s six A320s and three A330s.
The series of C-checks and IL-checks is part of the existing Total Technical Support (TTS®) agreement of the airline with Lufthansa Technik AG (LHT). The Hamburg-based leader in aircraft maintenance, repair and overhaul company subcontracted the base maintenance works for Vladivostok to its Manila-based subsidiary, LTP.
“This is a demonstration of how the different capabilities and the cooperation within the Lufthansa Technik network benefit the customers. We are pleased that Vladivostok recognizes this and have placed their confidence in the Group,” said Frank Stauch, LTP Senior Sales Executive.
Stauch added that the agreement is an on-going cooperation with the rapidly growing airline. LTP aims to further develop and strengthen this partnership in the succeeding years.

Through its competence in carrying out base maintenance checks on the Airbus A320, A330/A340 aircraft types, LTP has steadily gained the trust of big players in the industry for base maintenance services.
Vladivostok is the largest airline in Russia’s Far East, carrying more than a million passengers annually by utilizing the various aircraft types on its fleet. The airline puts a high premium on safety and quality standards. It holds an EASA Part-145 certification for line maintenance on the Airbus A320. Vladivostok Air is also an IOSA-certified company. The International Air Transport Association (IATA) Operational Safety Audit (IOSA) programme was developed to provide common standard to evaluate an airline’s compliance with its safety and quality standards. The registration requires an audit of operational standards, control processes and safety systems.
