World-class service adds first-class touch to Lufthansa’s A340 fleet
Recently, four Lufthansa German Airlines’ A340-600 aircraft were sent to Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) to undergo base maintenance checks. Coinciding with the IL-checks are the first-class cabin reconfigurations for the A340-600s. This task was another opportunity for LTP to further demonstrate its expertise in the Airbus A330/A340 maintenance check.
Alongside the 2- to 3-class seat layout reconfiguration were modifications which include the removal and reinstallation of Additional Attendant Panels (AAP), correction of LCD panel positions, enhancement of modules, removal of center stowage bins, and slight reduction of business and economy class seats.
Lufthansa is having its entire fleet installed with first class seats to allow more flexibility to all its daily flights, and enhanced comfort for its passengers. In fact, twenty aircraft have already been sent to MRO facilities in Zurich, Hamburg and Manila. The fleet includes ten A340-300 and ten A340-600. Amidst ongoing economic recession, Lufthansa is continuously improving the flying experience of passengers. This is a testament to Lufthansa’s commitment to its passengers and its unsurpassed leadership in the industry.
