PERFORMING BASE maintenance at various facilities around the world, Lufthansa Technik provides support to airlines of all types and sizes. With base maintenance facilities in Beijing, Budapest, Frankfurt, Hamburg, Shannon, Malta, Manila and Sofia, base maintenance events are aligned with the customer’s commercial operations and are executed to a consistent standard of performance and predictability, regardless of location.

This reliability is possible through the close cooperation between these subsidiaries in the network. Playing a pivotal role in this collaboration is the transfer of knowledge and skills from one subsidiary to another.

A prime example of the success of this network is Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP).

To build up the base maintenance capability, LTP invested in modern docking and support shop facilities, with hangar upgrade works commencing in 2002. Equally important with the facility modernization process is the transfer of knowledge and skills within the network.
