Philippine Airlines: Six Years of Partnership

Philippine Airlines (PAL) strengthens its partnership with Lufthansa Technik Philippines (LTP) by entrusting its entire A330/ A340 fleet of 12 aircraft for 8C/10Y check to the maintenance, repair and overhaul (MRO) company.

PAL was the launch customer of LTP’s heavy maintenance operation when in 2002, LTP performed the series of 4C/5Y checks for the flag carrier’s Airbus fleet. The new agreement is therefore a continuation of the relationship between the two companies in terms of its heavy maintenance campaign.

“PAL has always been proud to be associated with LTP and our confidence is underlined by the fact that we remain as one of the biggest customers of LTP today,” said Jaime Bautista, PAL President and COO.

“There is no doubt that through LTP’s expertise and world-class facilities, PAL would be able to complete its heavy maintenance campaign on time and with the expected high quality result,” he added.
